    Ghee Sauteed Spinach

    blog

    Hello, #BestNic.

I’m quite excited that nowadays, many people are starting to invest in their health through food and healthier lifestyles. Foods without MSG, preservatives, minimal chemical processing, gluten-free, low in sugar, and many more.

But, we can't deny it. We'll definitely brainstorm ways to enjoy healthy food that still tantalize the taste buds. Right?

Worry not! Nonanic is here to accompany you with various healthy recipes that are not only healthy but also rich in flavor. Like this simple recipe, for example:

    GHEE SAUTEED SPINACH

This recipe is perfect for those who rarely eat green vegetables. You can cook this spinach with ghee and grass-fed dairy. It's suitable to be eaten with steak or other Western dishes.

Do you know the benefits of ghee?

Ghee, which is purified butter by separating water and protein from milk fat, actually has several health benefits. Since ghee has been through the purification process, it's easier to digest for people with lactose intolerance or milk protein allergies.

In addition to containing healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids for the heart, such as oleic acid, ghee is also rich in vitamin A, which is important for eye health, skin, and the immune system.

This is the true definition of healthy eating doesn't have to be bland. Agree or not?

Don't believe it? Just try it! 😃

    Prep 5 minutes

    Servings 2 servings

    Ingredients

1 bunch of spinach (about 250g), organic

    1 tbsp Ghee

    1 clove garlic, minced

    150ml grass-fed cooking cream

    A pinch of salt

    Black pepper

    Non-MSG mushroom broth

    Nutmeg

    30g grated natural cheese

    Fried onions for garnish

    Instructions

    1. Pluck spinach leaves and cut them according to your preference.

    2. Thinly slice the garlic.

    3. Heat Ghee in a pan and sauté the minced garlic.

    4. Add cooking cream and sprinkle with Himalayan salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and mushroom broth.

    5. Add spinach and stir briefly. Add a little water if necessary.

    6. Add grated natural cheese and stir.

    7. Sprinkle fried onions on top. Ready to serve.

    Tips

    1. Spinach cooking only takes a short time, usually around 1-2 minutes over high heat, to avoid overcooking.

    2. It's advisable to remove the spinach from heat just before it's fully cooked because spinach wilts quickly, and the cooking process will continue even after the spinach is removed from heat.

    3. This recipe can be made vegan by replacing ghee with olive oil, dairy cream with plant-based cream, and nutritional yeast as a substitute for cheese.

    4. You can reduce the use of cooking cream by up to 50% if you prefer a drier, creamier spinach texture.

    5. Ghee can be substituted with grass-fed butter, although it will result in a different aroma.

    6. Get creative with various onions like adding sautéed onions or replacing the garnish with garlic according to taste.
