Ingredients
- 200 ml organic milk
- 100 gr organic cane sugar
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients and cook over low heat, stirring continuously.
- Cook until the volume reduces by ½ and the texture begins to thicken, approximately 12-15 minutes.
- Store in a sterilized glass jar.
Tips
Storage
- Store the Organic Condensed Milk in the refrigerator; it can last up to 6 months in chiller and 2 months in freezer.
- Warm it up using the bain-marie method before use.
Sugar Substitution
- If you want to use low-GI sugar, you can replace it with crystal sorghum sugar or coconut sugar.
- The color of the Organic Condensed Milk will be darker, reflecting the color of the base sugar used.
Vegan Friendly
- The Organic Condensed Milk can be made vegan by replacing the grass-fed milk with your choice of plant-based milk in the same amount.
Variations
- Vanilla: If you want a vanilla flavor, add 1 tsp of vanilla extract right after the Organic Condensed Milk is cooked, and stir well.
- Chocolate: For a chocolate variation, add 10 g of raw cacao powder + 20 g of boiled water, and stir well. Mix this into the milk and sugar while it’s cooking when it’s halfway thickened. Stir again until the texture of the Organic Chocolate Condensed Milk is well blended and fully thickened.
